Yes. A responsible adult should accompany children. School groups and social groups are welcome by prior arrangement. The National Trust of Queensland requests a ratio of one supervisor per 10 primary school aged children and one supervisor per 15 high school aged children. The interpretive museum can be used as an educational tool for Chinese cultural history.
Disabled Access:
Yes. The property consists of two historic buildings on 14 hectares of land. A concrete and wooden ramp leads disabled parking area into the front entrance of the 'Old Atherton Post Office' where the interpretive museum, gift shop, Atherton Shire Council art gallery and toilets are located. This building is wheelchair accessible. A ramp leads to the path that ends near the Temple. There is a grassed area between the path and the Temple pagoda. Wheelchairs generally are unable to access the Temple Building. A slide show of the Temple interior and artefacts can be viewed in the museum.
