Cobbold Gorge, a Savannah Guide Station located on a working cattle property, is hidden away in the Gulf Savannah region of North Queensland. This unique narrow gorge is set amid rugged sandstone formations with spectacular 30 metre cliffs that narrow to just two metres wide. A cruise through this unusual gorge is an awesome and unforgettable experience. Access is by guided tour where you will cruise peacefully through the gorge, in an electric powered boat. Cobbold Gorge offers something to suit everyone from the nature enthusiast to the keen four wheel driver. There is no need to rough it, as accommodation ranges from modern air conditioned ensuite motel style rooms to shady campsites, along with ensuite and powered caravan sites in their well grassed camping area.
