Lake Barrine is a volcanic maar surrounded by rainforest. The five kilometre track around the lake allows for forest-fringed views of the lake and its wildlife.
Look for saw-shelled turtles and eastern water dragons in and around the water. In the rainforest, keep an eye out for musky rat-kangaroos and the colourful Boyd's forest dragon. More than 180 bird species have been recorded in the park.
