Cost

Book Tropical Australia incorporates two distinct system functions:

1. Online Sales System - The online sales system enables you to sell your tourism products for example accommodation, tours, houseboats through a large number of websites, including your own website, online travel retailers and other bookings centres. No costs are incurred until you receive an online booking. You can load as much inventory (physical rooms, tours etc.) as you like for free.
   
2. Full Business Management System - No more diaries and charts, consider using Book Tropical Australia to manage all your bookings - online and offline.
   A small business offering up to five rooms, e.g five cottages, or five tours, five rooms, will incur no cost until an online booking is received.
   A business offering in excess of five tourism product can manage their entire business on Book Tropical Australia.

Fees

Book Tropical Australia enabled operators are subject to the following fees:

1. To be eligible to use BTA you must be a Bronze level (or higher) member of TTNQ.  As a member of TTNQ we will waive the $385 annual Book Tropical Australia licensing fee.  This fee will continue to be waived for the duration of your membership.  The initial training and program configuration will attract a one off fee of $100.

    

   Businesses that subsequently cancel or fail to renew their TTNQ membership each year and are currently running the BTA software will default back to the annual license fee of $385 per annum.  Should a business fail to pay the annual license fee then the BTA system will be de-activated after 30 days.

   *You must join TTNQ in order to obtain an initial installation of the BTA product.

    

   Any online booking will incur a transaction fee, and with any booking made by other distributors, commission will be payable as per the distributors Terms and Conditions agreement, along with the transaction fee
   

2. Book Tropical Australia Booking Fee - All online bookings received via Book Tropical Australia are subject to a booking fee and a transaction fee.
   
3. Distribution Fees - May be charged by the distribution channel or agent that sells your product online.  For example, Book Tropical Australia online bookings received via TTNQ website and Visitor Information Centres are subject to a Distribution Fee.

Online Merchant Facility

Book Tropical Australia provides an Online Payment package that allows your business to communicate with banks in order to receive immediate online bookings and process your customer's credit card payments online.

This is provided through the Camtech-E-Commerce payment gateway.  This gateway and Book Tropical Australia currently transact with the following banks:

National Australia Bank
Commonwealth Bankj Australia
ANZ
St George  Bank
Bank West
St George
BankSA

In order to transact in the online environment and receive payment into your bank account you will be required to have an online merchant facility.

This is different to banking on the internet and taking credit card payments electronically, it requires an additional agreement with your bank.

Book Tropical Australia will enable customers to book your tourism product for example accommodation, tours, hire cars and houseboats and receive instant confirmation via multiple websites and a wide range of booking centres including:

• Your own website
• Tropicalaustralia.com.au
• Regional websites
• Visitor Information Centres

• Book Tropical Australia tourism businesses (affiliates)

Your own website

We encourage you to place a book now button on your own website. If a potential customer has found your website, give them every opportunity to book in real time, online.

Quick tips:

Ensure your Book Now button/link is designed to stand out to attract consumers, but fits with the design of your site.

Make sure the Book Now facility is part of the main navigation so that it is always accessible to the consumer.

Enable the consumer to view the button/link without having to scroll on any page.

Be consistent as to where the book now button is located on your site e.g top left of page for each page.

Add the Book Now facility to your Contact Us or Enquiries page as another option, the consumer will select what best suits them.
