Book Tropical Australia can be used one of two ways:

1. Online Sales System
The Online Sales system enables you to market and sell your product through a large number of Book Tropical Australia enabled websites, your own website, travel wholesalers and booking centres.

2. Full Business Management System
Do away with your diaries and wall charts and consider using Book Tropical Australia to manage your online and offline bookings.

Book Tropical Australia provides access to a total business management system that will enable you to administer guest arrivals and departures, manage customer information and process payments, expenses and refunds. The system can also be used to manage your offline bookings.

Incorporated Reservations System

• Take new offline bookings (from desk, phone, fax, email enquiries)
• View booking status of all your products for example cottages, tours, houseboats, and/or hire cars
• View your tourism product listing and availability
• View customer account history
• Generate reports
• View payment reconciliation for online and offline bookings

Status

Here you can view all your bookings by day, week or fortnight.

You can right click and:

• Move the booking to another room, tour, houseboat, hire car(same product/price type)
• Transfer the booking to another customer
• Edit the booking
• View the Folio (account) screen of payments
• View any comments/notes
• Cancel the booking
• Check-in/out the customer

Marketing

From Marketing you can:

Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Allows you the ability to search your customer database by the following and send an email or newsletter.

• Category as created by you
• Source of enquiry as created by you
• Type of tourism product booked
• Date of booking
• Season of booking

Allows you to select which Distributors you would like to sell your products and at what price.

• The decision is yours; you accept or decline the terms and conditions and fees set by each Distributor.
• For every distributor you could set a different price. However the simpler your pricing model the easier it is to set up the system.

Your website can be activated once you are live online; you will be able to accept bookings and payment which will be paid directly into your bank account.

Manage

• Enables you to set up your business in one location.
• You can set your rates as far in advance as you like, the further ahead you load prices, the further ahead your product can be booked.

Management reports

There are two types of reports within the system:

• Reservation Reports - a range of reports regarding booking and account information
• Business Management Reports - a range of reports regarding utilisation, sales, marketing and affiliate bookings.

With all reports you can set the dates of the report that you require by the custom date range field.

Content Collection Services

You will have the ability to control from one central location what information is displayed about your tourism business/products on www.tropicalaustralia.com.au and for the Gateway Discovery Centre.

Every time you update this information it will update the state version (STDW) of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse, which will then, after approval, update the information listed on tropicalaustralia.com.au and other sites. The same information is also used to update the National Australian Tourism Data Warehouse, which supplies your data to a number of tourism websites including australia.com and queesnslandholidays.com.

While the system has exceptional front office abilities, it is the back-end processing that makes Book Tropical Australia unique:

• Receive funds direct into your bank account (as per standard banking rules) from your website bookings
