Destination Development

TTNQ's Destination Development department covers various aspects of relationship building within the destination with members, stakeholders and consumers.

Destination Development works closely with Local Tourism Organisations and other stakeholders to build sound relationships that will achieve the most effective marketing and quality standards for the destination.

Previous tourism experience:

  • the implementation of the Wet Tropics Management Authority’s Visitor Centre program;
  • the development the Cassowary Recovery Program in TNQ;
  • the management of the FNQ Queensland Heritage Trails program (QHTN) -12 projects including Hou Wang Temple, Nature’s Powerhouse, The Hub Chillagoe, the Misty Mountain Trails and the Ma:mu Canopy Walk -on behalf of nine regional Councils
  • The restructuring of the tourism industry in north Queensland to boost dispersal through the development of product in regional areas
  • Increasing the Tropical North’s credentials as Australia’s leading eco and indigenous tourism destination
