THE FOUR POINT PLAN
TTNQ has developed a Four Point Plan to move forward from the Qantas Group's announcement of flight cancellations from Japan to Cairns. Implementation of this plan has already begun and will continue to provide an outline for solutions.

- Japan Holiday Visitors -Year end March 2000 to March 2008
TNQ remains a consistent performer in the Japanese holiday market compared to Queensland and Australia in the years ending March 2000 – 2008. Although there was a nine per cent decline in Japanese holiday visitation to TNQ between March 07/08, Queensland and Australia figures also illustrate reductions of 17% and 16% respectively. For the year ending March 2008, Tropical North Queensland was the number one holiday destination for Japanese visitors to Australia, outperforming the major cities of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. - Economic Impact of changes to Qantas/Jetstar services to Cairns
