A treasure hunt through the Tropical North's beautiful rainfroest impresed visitors fromt eh Australian Tourism Export Council this week.
The 48 tour operators visited places such as Port Douglas, Daintree and Cape Tribulation as part of the hunt. TTNQ chief executive said involvement in the program was part of his organisation's efforts to familiarise people with the district.
"The challenge is to pack as much exposure to the destination as possible into the short space of time these visits allow," Mr Giason said.
"The treasure hunt, held at Rainforest Habitat in Port Douglas did this very well as it gave us an opportunity to promote the attractions of Mission Beach, Palm Cove, Kuranda, Cooktown, the Tableland and the tropical Gulf Savannah, as well as Port Douglas, Daintree and Cape Tribulation."
North Queensland ATEC chairwoman Megan Bell said it was a successful program for inboutn agents and North Queensland operators.
