Tropcial North Queensland's business tourism capability is on show in Melbourne this week with 17 regional operators joining in the major tradesho AIME.
The Asia-Pacific Incentive & Meetings Expo or AIME is held annually in Melbourne and is the premier business tourism event for the Asia Pacific.
This year it is expected to attract more than 400 buyers who are seeking solutions fo their meetings, conferences, special events and exhibitions.
TTNQ ceo Rob Giason said the TNQ group led by the Cairns and Region Convention Bureau would work to ensure businesses found solutions in the region.
"Participation in events such as AIME is vital in light of the ever increasing global competition from other business tourism destinations.
"Our business tourims capacity and performance have grown strongly over the past few years and AIME is the ideasl opportunity to get that mesage out to key buyers," Mr Giason said. "The stand looks fantastic with the exciting Change Your Latitude destination branding on show for the first time at AIME in 2008.
